Biography
A recognized expert and innovator in corporate sustainability, Darin Rovere leads, manages, and contributes to innovative international sustainability initiatives with global corporations, institutions, and government organisations.
As initiator of ‘Business and Sustainability in the Middle East’, Darin is successfully mobilizing multinational companies, leading corporate sustainability institutions, and local partners towards targeted, high leverage project activities. The overall program is a business-led, multi-stakeholder initiative that aims to improve the performance and long-term competitiveness of businesses operating in the Middle East. It does this by exploring the role that business can play in contributing to local economic development that creates maximum local benefits. This includes identifying opportunities for knowledge and skills transfer and training, technology transfer, joint ventures between international and local companies, and highly innovative, high value national, regional and international multistakeholder partnerships.
Darin has worked worldwide with leading companies in various sectors including finance, oil and gas, energy, aluminium, steel, life sciences, chemicals, automotive, apparel, business associations, and small business incubators. He sits on the board of AIESEC and CHF, and is Corporate Sustainability Management Advisor for the CIDA – Confederation of Indian Industry’s Environmental Management Project in India.
