London Deer Project

The main objective of the study is to assess the effects of white-tailed deer browsing on different vegetation community types in three environmentally significant areas (ESAs) in the City of London.  The ESAs include the Sifton Bog, Medway Valley and Meadowlily Woods. The Sifton Bog is the main focus of this study, with the two other ESAs being used as comparison sites. Deer exclosures have been built on all of the sites and monitoring of effects is still ongoing.
